Communication technologies have revolutionized the way in which humans interact, and that the digital age represents the largest liberation movement the world has known, and the interference of states has constituted a violation of the human right to privacy.

From the technological revolution, which enabled the state to reach the depth of this societal value related to privacy, that surveillance operations may have a real impact on the human rights guaranteed to people, and the problem that we address is whether the United Nations Human Rights Report in its 28th session achieved the right to protect privacy in the era Digital? We concluded that states should review their practices and legislation related to the surveillance and interception of communications and the collection of personal data, to align them with the needs of the twenty-first century and to ensure their full consistency with international human rights law.
