The victory of liberalism over communism led to the return of the role of economics in the competition between states.

the conquest of markets has taken the place of territorial conquests and guide each day more their international politics.

if during the last two decades almost all states have developed policies of conquest economic and cultural, called "economic diplomacy'', it is the United States who designed the device the most effective and which are imposed on international markets.

than we observe new economic actors as the regional organizations like the European Union.

accordingly, this article came to discuss the concept of economic diplomacy, and to show the most important examples of application of this diplomacy by states and regional organizations.
