Achieving educational quality is among the topics of great importance, especially in light of the tremendous scientific progress and the knowledge explosion.

as universities are one of the important institutions that bear the responsibility of training to bring about development and development.

this study aim to determine the importance of developing teaching competencies and their role in achieving educational quality.

in order to achieve the objectives of the study, (50) questionnaires were distributed (111) of which were retrieved (102) of which were subject to study among faculty members, and to try to analyze the correlation and influence relationship between the two variables, the independent variable (developing competencies) and the dependent variable (educational quality), a group from statistical methods.

the study found, with statistical tools and the use of the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) program, many facts indicate that developing the competencies of the teaching staff is of great importance in achieving educational quality.
