Our intervention concerns the first area, about laws, conventions and charters that have as their object the rights and well-being of the child.
The International Convention on the Rights of the Child (CIDE) and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (CADBE), two founding texts based on two different philosophies and perceptions of the child according to his family and social environment.
That is what we will try to demonstrate.
We will address the question of their application at the national level and the problems posed, to the institutions of the State but also to the families and to the child himself.
Our goal for this meeting is to give visibility to the African Charter by focusing on what it brings new in relation to the International Convention on the Rights of the Child and thus direct reflection towards the possibility of actively participating in the necessary revision and the application of these founding texts.

Notre intervention se propose d'aborder le premier axe, concernant les lois, conventions et charte ayant pour objet les droits et le bien être de l'enfant.
La Convention Internationale des droits de l'enfant (CIDE) et le Charte Africaine des droits et du bien être de l'enfant (CADBE), deux textes fondateurs qui partent de deux philosophies et perceptions différentes de l'enfant en fonction de son milieu familial et social.
C'est ce que nous allons essayer de démontrer.
Nous aborderons la question de leur application au niveau national et des problèmes posés, aux institutions de l'Etat mais aussi aux familles et à l'enfant lui-même.
Notre objectif, pour cette rencontre, est de donner de la visibilité à la Charte africaine en mettant l'accent sur ce qu'elle apporte de nouveau par rapport à la Convention internationale des droits de l'enfant et orienter ainsi la réflexion vers la possibilité de participer activement à la nécessaire révision et à l'application de ces textes fondateurs.
