Arabic Abstract

هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن مستوى كل من السلوك الاندفاعي و التفكير الناقد و اتخاذ القرار لدى طلبة جامعة الكويت، و علاقة السلوك الاندفاعي بكل من التفكير الناقد و اتخاذ القرار، و لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة طبقت الدراسة على عينة من طلبة الجامعة بلغت (755) طالباً و طالبة من مختلف الكليات، و تم استخدام مقياس السلوك الاندفاعي و اختبار التفكير الناقد و مقياس اتخاذ القرار، بعد التحقق من مؤشرات صدقها وثباتها، و توصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها : أن مستوى كل من السلوك الاندفاعي و التفكير الناقد و اتخاذ القرار لدى طلبة جامعة الكويت جاءت متوسطة، و وجود علاقة سلبية و دالة احصائياً بين السلوك الاندفاعي وكل من التفكير الناقد واتخاذ القرار، كما تبين عدم وجود فروق في السلوك الاندفاعي و التفكير الناقد تعزى لمتغير الجنس، بينما تبين وجود فروق في اتخاذ القرار و لصالح الذكور، كما تبين وجود فروق في السلوك الاندفاعي تعزى للتخصص و لصالح الكليات الانسانية و في التفكير الناقد و القدرة على اتخاذ القرار و لصالح طلبة الكليات العلمية، و خرجت الدراسة بالتوصيات المناسبة.

English Abstract

The current study aimed at identifying the level of impulsive behavior, critical thinking and decision-making among Kuwait University students, and the relationship of impulsive behavior to both of critical thinking and decision-making.

To achieve the objectives of the study, it was applied on a sample of university students amounting to (755) students from various colleges.

The impulsive behavior scale, the critical thinking test, and the decision-making scale were used after verifying the indicators of their validity and consistency.

The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: that the level of both impulsive behavior, critical thinking and decision-making among Kuwait University students was moderate, and the existence of a negative and statistically significant relationship between Impulsive behavior and both critical thinking and decision-making, also showed that there are no differences in impulsive behavior and critical thinking due to the gender variable, while differences in decision-making were found in favor of males, and there were differences in impulsive behavior attributed to specialization and in favor of human faculties, in critical thinking and the ability to make decisions in favor of students of scientific colleges.

The study came out with appropriate recommendations.
