Abstract EN

This research paper “The wife's biblical right to practice her religious rites, between choice and coercion” discusses the statement of the right of the clerical woman to choose to practice her religious rites inside or outside her home, and stating the husband's right to prevent her from performing her religious rites - if this affects his full right to enjoy them.

The study aimed to shed light on the husband's right to force his clerical wife by preventing her from practicing some religious rites that negatively affect him or harm him or his children.

To achieve this goal, the study deals with dividing the research into two main topics, the first is related to the clerical woman’s right to choose to practice her religious rituals of prayer and fasting, and the second study concerns the husband’s right to prevent his clerical wife from performing her religious rituals, whether at home or outside.

The method of the study was based on the inductive and descriptive approach, and the analytical approach was followed in explaining the controls related to the issues raised in the research.

The study found the most important results, which is that the biblical wife has the right and freedom to practice her religious rites in a manner that does not affect the man negatively.

Also, the man has the right to compel his wife and prevent her from practicing her religious rituals if this is to neglect the fullness of his right to enjoy her, or if her religious rituals are a manifestation of polytheism that transcends its rule from being a minor to her until it becomes transgressive to include the husband and children.

The researcher recommends publishing such researches for our children in the Arab communities in the West so that a Muslim can know his rights over his written wife by virtue of the fact that some young men marry foreigners in the West.
