Abstract EN

Research topic: Hadiths received from the Prophet (S.A.W.W) pertaining to supplication for longevity.

Objectives: Collecting hadiths from the Prophet (S.A.W.W) pertaining to supplication for the longevity, from the books of Hadith, withthe references and studied that according to the principle of the scholars of Hadith, then make the judgment on them, and try to know what is authentic in this chapter.

Methodology: Collection of hadith’s chains in the study from the books of Hadith.

Attribution of hadiths to their references, and discuss about their chains then point out the faults therein.

Statements about narrators, for whom the verdict is based on their status and degrees.

Main results: The inaccuracy of the hadiths in the supplication for longevity.

Hatering about supplication for the longevity, with the exception of that if it is restricted with something that has an otherworldlybenefit, such as the saying of the supplicator (may God prolong your life in obedience to him).

Recommendations: Searching for hadiths and knowing their authenticity according to the rules of the hadith’s scholars.

Constructing Sharia provisions on authentic hadiths.

Putting up weak hadiths and not being counted in Sharia rulings.
