Abstract EN

The research studies Aboabdullah Jamaluddin Muhammad Ahmad Al Andalusi’s “Al Meaeyar Book in Poetic Criticism.” It is a critical study aimed at ascertaining the poetic criteria based on laws and measures laid down by the author.

These laws and standards are intended to act as settings for the generation of poetic texts.

In his book, Al Andalusi tried to control the innovation process by looking at it as an industry, one with its tools which critics have to master to make themselves innovative creators and poetry critics.

He pointed out the primary catalyst for distinguishable literary work and counted some criteria which, if implemented, make the poetry of quality and insight above criticism.

These criteria are laws for poetic innovation in the creation of something new.

These laws are in fact taken from the poem’s general frame, which was approved by Arab critics whatever their intentions and priorities are.
