This research studies the forms of gradualism in legislation and its purpose.

It aims to clarify the meaning of gradualism, clarify its forms, differentiate between them, and justify the lack of differentiation between verses and rulings.

It also aims to clarify the purpose and motives of gradualism in legislation, and to explain how to use it and how to deal with it.

One of the most important results of the research is that gradualism in legislation is a means used by the wise legislator to reach the reform and change in a way that achieves satisfaction and ensures acceptance and reassurance.

In addition, gradualism is a temporary means that ended with the completion of the Sharia, where the lawgiver has achieved purposes in the interest of the individual and society, and therefore it cannot be considered an purpose in itself in invitation or enticement
