Abstract EN

The present research aims at revealing the intellectual references and doctrinal foundations of Jean Piaget cognitive development.

Starting with one of its most important statements which is the concept of “structure” of the psychologist Piaget – the first to make a systematic study of cognitive development and proved its worth- that has yielded enormously influential results.

Despite this, no one denies the usefulness of re-reading this conclusion in order to re-represent it, and to benefit from its theoretical concepts and procedural mechanisms.

After investigations, it was revealed that scholars differ in their views of the concept of “structure” and “structuralism, ” as well as “formative structuralism, ” which are cognitive extensions of the Marxist trend and, to a lesser degree, the categories of positivist philosophy.

These inspirations allowed a centrality of “structural structuralism” that no other structuralism, even formal structuralism, had ever had.

This is because the efficacy of the analytical “structural structuralism” serves and harmonizes with the social and political reality of man
