Abstract EN

The Iraqi contemporary political system passed over a historical decisive phase, in a period between the Second World War and July 14, 1958 revolution.

Consequently, the political class and the Free Officers sought for a radical change to the existing situation, so the 1958 revolution began.

The latter paved the way towards a national independence and establishing a republic system.

Abdul Karim Qasim's reign exerted an immense influence on the political, military, economical, and social scene of Iraq, especially since this country is of great importance in the Middle East.

The aim of the current study is spotting the light on the contributions of this man in order to frame the national state after eliminating the foreign domination, which is represented by a collusion system, and this is for the sake of realizing the popular masses' desires and their aspirations.

The findings of the research demonstrate that Abdul Karim Qasim were a patriotic man who aimed to achieve a state of citizenship and social justice, as he believed that Iraq's interest was above all else, seeking to make it a pivotal state in its Arab environment.
