This research investigates a part of Ma'ani al Qur'an (Meanings of Qur'an) Book by Abu Jafar Al-Nahas (d.

949).

Some parts of the book were missing while some were printed and published.

Therefore, the researcher has investigated the new copy of the book according to the academic investigation method, and also added the differences between this one and the printed part and its unique manuscript in the section of printed version.

The research was started with a study which includes a brief biography of Abu Jafar Al-Nahas and introduction to Ma'ani al-Qur'an (Meanings of Qur'an) Book, and his methodology in the investigated part, verifying the attribution of the manuscript to the author and the description of the copy and its samples.

The importance of this research is evident in the authenticity of the book, its academic value, and the early era of its author and the new additions in this copy which are yet to materialize.

The researcher recommends collecting the remaining manuscripts of the book which complete it, as the book remains incomplete.

The researcher also recommends re-investigation of the book completely according to the available manuscripts, as the printed version contains numerous mistakes in the reading of the text, in addition to lack of due academic service it deserves.
