Abstract EN

Aqueous extracts of D.

innoxia leaves were tested against Culex pipiens.

Study results ’evealed that hot water extracts of leaves was more effective than the cold one, and Doth extracts significantly affected some biological aspects of mosquito.

Hot water extract of leaves was more effective than the cold one Egg mortality rate wras 21.2% w'hen treated with hot water extract of leaves at ;oncentration of 40 mg/ml.

while control treatment was 0.3rdlarval instar mortality r ate was more than other larval instars when treated with aqueous extract of leaves, it reached to 69.8% at high concentration.

Larval-pupal developmental period was prolonged and reached 1 7 days .compared with 9.2 days at control treatment.

Cumulative mortality of immature stages reached 46.2% at concentration of 40 tig nil.

compared with 5,2% at control treatment.

Productivity and hatchability of egg decreased to 57.2 egg/female and 64.2% respectively at concentration 40 mg/ml while control treatment was 208.6 egg/ female and 99.2% respectively.
