Awareness of human rights education among Iraqi state and private college students

Abstract EN

Human rights' are not merely language of compassion, corporation, consideration, and communication in human affairs ; it is the grammar of a civilized society to invest human kind with dignity, equality, coexistence and non- exploitative social justice.

the aim of the study is the human rights awareness among Iraqi college students.

for the present study a sample consisted of 100 students from college of psychical education in university of al-Mustansiriyah university (state college) and al-Nesuor university college (private college), a descriptive survey method was used.

to fulfill the objective of the study a questionnaire is adopted be the instrument of the study which consists of 38 items.

after checking the validity of the instrument the results show that the mean value of human rights awareness of private college student is more than human rights awareness of state college students.

therefore, it is analyzed that human rights of private college students is more than human rights of state college.

the mean value of human rights awareness of male students is more than human rights awareness of female students.
