The study and treatment of language has been linked to various scientific and technical fields, including computer science, which resulted in the emergence of computational linguistics.

Since this science has sought since its inception to build dummy lists; It aims at promoting the linguistic system and moving its scientific terminology from the paper documentation side to the digital computer side, by describing the linguistic vocabulary in the form of digital fragments, which has made a qualitative leap in the history of various natural languages, the most important of which is the Arabic language; Therefore, we seek through this article to investigate how to adopt the scientific foundations of computational linguistics in the description of the scientific term and the composition of the educational dictionary? In our endeavor to develop a model for the desired electronic educational dictionary, because of its great importance in gathering the linguistic wealth on the one hand, and facilitating the research process for the learner on the other hand, knowing the meanings of scientific terms in a simple way requires adopting the foundations of computer description in building the educational scientific dictionary.
