This study aims to research the reality of the economic situation of the Islamic countries in the Islamic East in the late Middle Ages by talking about global trade routes between the East and the West prior to the arrival of the Portuguese to the East, whether at the level of internal roads or commercial ports, and the role that trade routes that passed Islamic countries in terms of regional and global economic importance, and the repercussions of the economic conflict after the Portuguese discovered the Cape of Good Hope roadAmong the findings are the miserable economic crises in the Islamic Mashreq region resulting from these Portuguese threats following the transformation of most global trade activities to the Cape of Good Hope, and the resulting dire economic effects that led to the depletion of commercial traffic in the region in Islamic ports, deterioration of social life, bankruptcy of the financial treasury and others.
