La gestion de la demande en transport (GDT)‎ et le renouvellement de la planification des transports

Cet article s'intéresse à la question de la planification des transports qui traverse actuellement une crise, déconnectée de l'urbanisme et de l'aménagement en général et désuète dans son approche traditionnelle.

Dans cette étude nous nous intéressons à l'approche de la mobilité durable, qui constitue un nouveau paradigme permettant d'apporter un frais souffle à l'approche fondée sur l'intégration des piliers du développement durable.

L'une des stratégies propres à la mobilité durable est la gestion de la demande en transport (GDT).

Cet article a jeté un éclairage sur le renouvellement des pratiques de la planification des transports au Québec, à travers le cas des centres de gestion des déplacements (CGD), des organismes spécialisés dans la gestion de la demande en transport (GDT).

This article examines the question of transport planning which is currently going through a crisis, disconnected from town planning and development in general and outdated in its traditional approach.

In this study we are particularly interested in the approach of sustainable mobility, a new paradigm of transport planning, which, through its collaborative and integrated approach, would make it possible to breathe new life into an approach traditionally based on rationality and specialist expertise.

One of the strategies specific to sustainable mobility is transportation demand management (TDM).

This article also sheds light on the renewal of transport planning practices in Quebec, through the case of travel management centers (TMC), organizations specializing in the transportation demand management (TDM).
