This study aimed to determine the grammatical concepts ncccssary for primary-school students and to investigate the cffcctivcncss of the cartoon concepts strategy in developing grammatical concepts in my beautiful language for primary-school students in Al-Jouf region.
The researcher used the mixed method (descriptive and scmi-cxpcrimcntal) in this study.
The sample of the study consisted of (60) students, who were choscn by simple random sampling method and they were divided into two groups, one is the experimental group and the other is the control group.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a list of grammatical concepts suitable for fourth-grade students, a test to measure grammatical concepts among the students and a tcachcr's guide for teaching using the cartoon concepts strategy.
The results of the study resulted in the identification of a list that included (16) major grammatical concepts, where under each conccpt a number of sub-concepts fall.
The total of the sub-conccpts reached (22) sub- concepts.
The results also revealed statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students in the experimental group and in the control group in the post-test of the grammatical concepts in favor of the experimental group.
The results also showed that there arc statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students in the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test of grammatical concepts in favor of the post-tcst.
In light of the results of the study, some recommendations were formulated, the most important of which were: Enriching the contcnt of my language curriculum at the primary stage with some conceptual cartoons that contribute to increasing students' motivation towards learning, simplifying linguistic and grammatical concepts to them, training female tcachcrs to employ cartoon concepts strategy in teaching units of my language course at the primary stage, increasing interest during the academic preparation of female students in employing modem teaching strategics based on female students ’positivity and providing the necessary' capabilities at schools to tcach my language course at the primary level according to the cartoon concepts strategy.
