This study aimed to evaluate teaching through closed circuit television (CCTV) including (knowledge of reality, detection of barriers and submission of suggestions) in the Faculty of Education at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University from the viewpoint of female students.

The descriptive approach was used in this study.

The study sample was 291 female students.

In order to obtain the data, the researcher distributed a questionnaire prepared by him for the purpose of the study.

The study results showed that the degree of students’ evaluation of the reality of teaching through closed circuit television (CCTV) in high education was medium: that is, it did not reach the degree of agreement or disagreement; it was in between.

The most important barriers to teaching through closcd-circuit television at the university from the students' perspective arc the technical faults of CCTV in the faculty, the lack of technicians specialized in its maintenance, the distraction of female students inside the classroom during teaching through CCTV and the difficulty of assessing female students by faculty members.

The most important suggestions to improve teaching through CCTV at the university were focused on four items: the use of computer applications and programs that support distance learning to enhance teaching by the use of CCTV methods, the teaching with the use of CCTV being used only for theoretical courses and not for practical courses, the availability of high-speed Internet in the classrooms and the training of faculty members on how to teach remotely.

The results also indicated that there arc statistically significant diffcrcnccs between the students’ answers about teaching with the use of CCTV at the University in relation to academic level and specialization.

At the conclusion, the researcher mentioned a number of recommendations that may benefit educators and dccision-makcrs regarding teaching with the use of CCTV at the university.
