Didactics of language opens up to many fields of knowledge such as linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and others.

Starting with these cognitive fields, Didactics of language tries to focus on some pillars or variables of the teaching-learning process, such as the teacher and his educational competence, and to search for the contents of learning and knowledge that suit the learner and the educational goal and find the most appropriate and most effective educational methods to provide the linguistic and reporting faculty to the native and to the foreign learner.
