Birth spacing is an individual practice with a health dimension that helps preserve the health of the mother and the child together, but the application of this practice may be determined by several social factors such as age, educational level, residence, nature of housing, type of marriage.

For this purpose, we will try in this scientific paper to shed light on the impact of these factors on the practice of spacing between births, and to find out that we used the descriptive and statistical method on a purposive sample of 159 married women of reproductive age (15-49 years) who came to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Sebdou's Public Hospital (Tlemcen Province), whether for delivery or examination.

To collect information and data, we used the closed and directed questions form.

Finally, after processing the data statistically through the statistical program called the Statistical Group for Social Sciences (SPSS), we concluded that there are statistically significant differences between social factors and the practice of birth spacing or not, but the intensity of the relationship varies from one variable to another.
