Translation, which has been the subject of several studies and which is a process that aims to transfer the content of a message from one language to another, may require to make grammatical, structural and expressive adjustments to respect the target language system and achieve equivalence between the original and the translated text.

learning translation requires background knowledge and language skills.

if a student has a reduced vocabulary and an unknown terminology, he will find difficulties to translate.

although translation is done through languages, it is not sufficient.

we need others elements: knowledge of the cultures and civilizations of peoples, broad knowledge of different events in the world.

so what should a translator and a learner in particular take into account in translating literary texts? we will deal with here in the context of teaching translation.
