The researcher addresses an important issue in constructing Arabic language module exams, which is the necessity of taking into account the formal standards in extracting the good exam.

the middle school stage (BEM) exams, in Arabic language module, has been taken as a study sample.

the descriptive method has been followed along with statistics and analysis.

observation and analyzing content tools have been used for the practical study.

the researcher has attained that taking into account the formal standards in extracting and designing the exam sheet is a so significant thing, if we want to design an exam, according to quality standards.

neglecting these standards is the reason behind the learners’ failure in getting the marks they deserve.
