The study was conducted in Iraq and its aim was identifying the effect of using (Woods) Teaching Model in systematic thinking skills among student in second intermediate class in Mathematic.
The sample consisted of (71) second intermediate class student Which were distributed into two groups.
The experimental group represented by (36)students which were taught by using (woods) model, and the control group represented by (35) students which were taught by the traditional way.
The experimental and control group both were equalized in a number of variables including: ( chronological age, previous academic achievement, intelligence ) Then, lesson plans specialized with (woods) model and the traditional way for four chapters (polynomials - inequalities - match triangles - volumes ) were prepared.
A Test measures the systematic thinking skills was adopted.
At the end of the experiment, the test which was consisted of (21) items was applied postedly.
After the test was applied, the data have been statistically analyzed by using: t-test (for two samples ).
It has been concluded ((Woods)) model help to develop the systematic thinking skills for second year intermediate students, and it is suggested need of adopting other models for the constructivism and their impact on systematic thinking skills.
