Abstract EN

The importance of the research and the need for it lies through an analytical study of some of the attacking variables used and its relationship to the results of the teams participating in the 2017 world women's championship by hand, and studying it as one of the important key elements that the team’s success focuses on overcoming the defensive plans used by the opposing team, as well as identifying the variables the most beneficial to win.

therefore, the researcher decided to study this problem to answer the following questions: what are the most common offensive variants used by the research sample teams؟ what is the impact of these variables affecting the results of these matches? it is a simple contribution to develop some suitable solutions for Iraqi handball teams.

the research community represents the teams participating in the world women’s championship that was held in Germany in (2017), which was distributed into two groups.

the success rate was greater than the failure rate and for most of the attacking variables used by the research sample teams, and the most frequently used attacking variables by the research sample teams are the change of positions and comes in second place, the reservation, and the number of offensive errors committed by the players of the teams participating in the cup of the year appeared clearly for women (2017), which was characterized by the continuous reliance of the teams on changing positions, cutting and seizing operations as well as numerical superiority events, and the results showed three non-significant correlations between the successful attempts of the offensive variants used by the research sample teams and the relay matches may be due to the physical, skill and tactical abilities that they lacked.
