Abstract EN

The present study investigates the importance of cultural diversity in sustainable development via the sector of tourism in Algeria.

The paper inspects the concepts of culture, cultural diversity and tourism industry and avows that cultural heritage can be used as a relief agent for promoting sustainable development.

In fact, this study advocates that the participation of Algerians in preserving their cultural heritage by integrating all components of culture into the design, measurement and practices of development can accelerate the country's economic and social development.

Therefore, the diversity of Algerian culture should be seen as the capital of tourism and sustainable development.
