Abstract EN

The study aimed to try and identify the content of the representations of the concept of beauty in the discours of female university students, as well as to discover the criteria that defines the concept of beauty for them, and to achieve these two objectives, the study relied on the steps of the descriptive approach, and the application of the Alceste technique on a typical sample of 65 female university students.

the results of the study showed that the content of female university students' representations of the concept of beauty was distinguished by its richness, and included many criteria that define their concept of beauty, which ranged from strong existing aesthetic standards to weak aesthetic standards as follows: sensitivity standards, emotional standards, mannerism standards, moral standards and finally, mental standards.
