Abstract EN

The national antiquities public museum located in Algiers consists of a ceramic collection made from metallic luster that belongs to the late Valencien production and is quite linked to the Mudejar art.

the latter is a name given to the Andalusian Muslims who lived under Christian rule after the Reconquista.

the present study aims to bring to the surface and popularize the Mudejar art through a thoughtful museum collection.

as a matter of fact, this typical form of art is marked by the presence and blending of two artistic styles: Islamic and christian.

the graffiti that characterizes such an art help us figure out that the objects date back to thethe 11th, 12th, 17th and 18th centuries.
