The study aims at identifying the impact of the financial performance indicators on the sustainable development of the banks listed on the Palestine Stock Exchange and the Amman Stock Exchange through analyzing the financial statements of the banking sector in Palestine Stock Exchange and the Amman Stock Exchange during the period 2011-2016.

The results of the study showed a positive impact and relationship between traditional financial performance indicators and sustainable development.

and the ence of a significant relationship between the traditional financial performance indicators of the banking sector on sustainable development, excluding the market performance ratios, the hypothesis was rejected "there is a significant relationship between the market indicators of the banking sector on sustainable development.

" The study recommends the need for governmental and non-governmental organizations to fulfill their duties by educating economic institutions and the public about the importance of sustainable development and its direct relationship with improving performance and profitability.
