This study aimed to explain the applicability of green innovation in the architectural field, where we dealt with green building as a model.

Therefore, the most important concepts related to green innovation, such as definition, types of green innovation and the components that make up green innovation were presented in the first axis.

Then the second axis of the concept of green building was discussed, its advantages and the most important criteria that underlie it.

The study reached several results, the most important of which is that green innovation has benefits with an environmental and economic dimension, on the one hand it reduces costs and on the other hand it preserves the environment.

In addition, after addressing the criteria of green building, it was verified that it meets the elements of green innovation, as it is an environmental and sustainable product
