English Abstract

The electrocardiogram (ECG) is one of the most useful diagnostic tests in emergency medicine.

It is an easy and inexpensive test that is used routinely in the assessment of patients with chest pain.

The ECG is the cornerstone for making the diagnosis of cardiac ischemia and is used for making decisions about eligibility for thrombolytic therapy.

ECG is an electric signal and bioelectric signal that measures the electrical activity of the heart over time with a diagnostic instrument essential for the assessment of cardiac functions.

In this study, the ECG waveform has been selected from MIT-BIH (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) as a study dataset.

The ECG samples have been processed and optimized to produce features that can work for various PR (Pattern Recognition) and CNN (Convolutional Neural Network), both classifiers will use preprocessed and feature extracted data.

The proposed method is based on two phases, the first phase classifying and distinguish between the normal and abnormal patients in the dataset with providing the results metric.

The second phase classifying the abnormal patient's data into 4 cases (classes) to diagnoses the patient's heart and ECG signal with recognizing the heart illness.

The proposed method has been compared with other authors and the same field researches results, also the two main classifiers that have been used in this work have been compared to shows the best classifier that has been used in this work
