There are different types of games, but educational games prove their popularity in this field, as they teach, build and strengthen some skills and concepts while having fun.
educational games as an interactive system are a sector of the industry that is growing rapidly globally, this new direction takes its strength from the success of video games and e-learning systems as interactive software.
in this paper we present a brief discussion about educational games presenting their characteristics and objectives, and we identify the means to get successful educational game, presenting the role of designers and educators to build the player experience.
additionally, we will also indicate how, in educational game context, the use of playability to improve the player experience, and we will present a version of the playability attributes and properties that describe player experience in addition to present some manners to measure for these properties.
