English Abstract
One of the key roles for the nanotechnology concerns is the expansion in optimizable experimental protocols for the nanomaterials synthesis.
The fungal biomass filtrate of the strain Monascus purpureus W7 was able of reducing silver nitrate into silver nanoparticles that proved by the visual observation of the fungal filtrates and the spectrophotometric scan analysis.
The preparation of AgNPs was studied by evaluating the growth condition under which the fungi was grown and the bioreduction reaction conditions of AgNO3 into AgNPs.
The best growth conditions for better AgNPs formation was recorded when Monascus purpureus W7 was grown for 72 hrs at 36oC using media number 2 (pH 5) with glucose and yeast extract as the soul carbon and nitrogen sources, respectively.
The optimal reduction conditions for the biosynthesis of AgNPs recorded using 1.0 mM AgNO3 that added to pH 7 buffered mycelial filtrate and incubated for 72 hrs at 39oC.
The reported results of the current study highlighted the importance of the studied parameters at each level of the process for optimal biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles.
