Arabic Abstract
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التحقق من تأثير تطبيق المعايير الدولية لإعداد التقارير المالية على جودة الأرباح للشركات المدرجة في بورصة لندن في ضوء التطورات الأخيرة التي طرأت على المعايير الدولية لإعداد التقارير المالية خلال الفترة من الممتده من عام 2007 و حتى عام 2019 حيث تقيس الدراسة جودة الأرباح بعد تطبيق المعايير الدولية لإعداد التقارير المالية من خلال مدى قدرة الارباح على التنبؤ بالتدفقات النقدية المستقبليه.
تستخدم الدراسة نموذج التنبؤ بالتدفقات النقدية التشغيلية القائم على الأرباح للتنبؤ بالتدفقات النقدية التشغيلية المستقبلية في ظل المعايير الدولية لإعداد التقارير المالية باستخدام عينة مكونة من 42 شركة تابعة للاتحاد الأوروبي و مدرجة في بورصة لندن، تقدم الدراسة نتائج متعددة فيما يتعلق بتأثير 11 عنصرا على التنبؤ بالتدفق النقدي التشغيلي المستقبلي تشير النتائج إلى أن تطور المعايير الدولية للتقارير المالية المتعلقة بقائمة المركز المالي بالإضافة إلى الحسابات الدائنة و التدفقات النقدية التشغيلية الحالية لها تأثير كبير على التنبؤ بالتدفق النقدي التشغيلي المستقبلي.
في حين أن تطوير المعايير الدولية لإعداد التقارير المالية المتعلقة بقائمة الدخل التدفقات النقدية و التطورات المتعلقة بجميع القوائم المالية ليس لها أي تأثير على التنبؤ بالتدفقات النقدية التشغيلية المستقبلية.
أيضا، اظهرت النتائج المتعلقة بمصروف الاستهلاك، مصروف الاطفاء، الحسابات المدينة، و المخزون عدم وجود تأثير لها على التنبؤ بالتدفقات النقدية المستقبلية.
English Abstract
This study aims at investigate the impact of IFRS adoption on earnings quality in London Stock Exchange in the light of recent development made on IFRS throughout the period of 2007 till 2019.
The study measures earnings quality after IFRS implementation using mainly earning predictive power as a proxy for earnings quality.
The study employs disaggregated earnings-based cash flow predicting model to forecast future CFO under IFRS.
Using a sample of 42 EU corporations listed in LSE.The study provides multiple result regarding the effect of 11 items on predicting future CFO.
The findings indicate that the development of FP in addition to account payable and current CFO have a significant effect on predicting future CFO.
Whereas the development of PL, CF and OTHER have no effect on predicting future CFO.
Also, the findings related to depreciation expenses, amortisation expenses, account receivable and inventory have no effect on predicting future CFO.
Overall, the study suggests that standard setters and accounting bodies must encourage the adoptions of IFRS particularly for the items that positively impact earnings quality.
The study contributes to the body of literature by providing new insight pertaining to both context and content in term of examine the development of IFRS and its impact on earnings quality in the context of developed countries.
Moreover, it provides recommendations to all stockholders regarding the standards and items that have the best positive influence on predicting power.
That eventually improve reporting practices.
