هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى قياس فاعلية استخدام القصص القصير في تنمية مهارتي التنبؤ و التلخيص لدى تلميذات الصف الثاني الإعدادي، و تتبع هذه الدراسة المنهج الشبه تجريبي، حيث تكونت عينة الدراسة من (60( طالبة من طالبات الصف الثاني الإعدادي بمدرسة الوليدية الاعدادية بنات، تم تقسيمهم الى مجموعتين: مجموعة تجريبية (30) طالبة تم تدريسهم الفهم القرائي باستخدام القصص القصير، و مجموعة ضابطة (30) طالبة تم تدريسهم باستخدام الطريقة التقليدية، تم استخدام اختبار الفهم القرائي القبلي البعدي كأداة للبحث، أظهرت الدراسة فاعلية استخدام القصص القصير في تنمية مهارتي التنبؤ و التلخيص لدى تلميذات الصف الثاني الاعدادي، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية.

Abstract EN

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of using short stories in developing predicting and summarizing skills for 2nd year prep school pupils.

The study followed the quasi-experimental design.

The participants of the study were 60 female pupils from El-weleda prep school for girls.

They were distributed into two groups: the experimental group (30) were taught reading comprehension by using short stories, and the control group (30) were taught reading comprehension by using the traditional method.

The instrument of the present study was a pre-post reading comprehension test.

The study showed the effectiveness of using short stories in developing predicting and summarizing skills among 2nd year prep stage pupils, in favor of the experimental group.
