Summary: The study aims to diagnose the phenomenon of child labor by highlighting the reality of child labor and to examine the effectiveness of legislation and mechanisms adopted for the protection of child workers in order to become aware of the impact of prevention the achievement of human, economic and social development goals.

In addition to presenting the ILO's strategy on combating child labor and evaluating the initial results of its reactivation on the basis of the experiences of the countries in this field.

The study found that the danger of child labor was to significantly reduce the quality of human capital, hinder the achievement of national education goals, reduce poverty and eliminate social marginalization and poverty high unemployment of adults.

This is why legislative policies are contrary to the economic objectives set by the state to cope with the high rate of unemployment among adults.

It slows development in its social and economic dimensions.

The study therefore recommended that ILO programs to combat child labor be adopted in the context of decent work, in the hope of realizing its development opportunities.
