The aim of the research is to prepare educational units in a guided discovery method to develop motor dexterity skills of the second graders female students, and to identify the effectiveness of the guided discovery method in developing motor dexterity skills of the second graders female students.

the researchers used the experimental approach, and the pre and post tests were the most important data collection tools.

the two researchers concluded that the small games included in the educational units had a positive effect, as they achieved a development of the motor skill skills of the second graders female students, and added an atmosphere of fun and pleasure.

the two researchers recommended paying attention to the application of modern methods in physical education lessons in primary schools, especially the guided discovery method in relation to the development of motor dexterity skills that children need in their daily lives.
