Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of a counseling program to modify the perceived parental expectations of premature adolescents on a sample of premature adolescents in the governmental schools of (Talkha - East Mansoura - West Mansoura).

The sample consisted of 30 student between the ages of (14-17) years.

They were chosen in an intentional way from middle and secondary schools in Dakahlia Governorate after applying the perceived parental expectations scale during the academic year (2020-2021).

The results showed that there are statistically significant differences between the averages of the experimental group score ranks in the pre-test and post test on the perceived parental expectations scale.

The result was in favour of the post test.

There are no Statistical significance between the post and follow-up test on the perceived parental expectations scale.

This indicates that the program maintained its effect in modifying parental expectations a month after the end of the application.
