Abstract EN

This study aimed to preparing a training program based on the PASS theory for improving the phonological awareness skills and verifying its impact on reducing withdrawal behavior among dyslexic primary-school students.

The sample of the current study consisted of 14 dyslexic students from grades four and five of primary school, and they were divided into two equal groups: a control group and an experimental group.

The study included the following instruments: Colored Progressive Matrices Test for John Raven, Quick Neurological Screening Test (QNST), Reading Performance Test (by: Researcher), Characteristics of Reading Dyslexia Scale (by: Researcher), Phonological Awareness Scale for Dyslexic (by: Researcher), and A training program based on the PASS theory to develop the skills of phonological awareness (by: Researcher).

The study results showed that the program has proved its effectiveness in developing phonological awareness skills among dyslexic students of the experimental group.
