Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify psychological endurance and its dimensions, competitive behavior and the relationship between them, and to estimate the values of the simple correlation coefficients between the dimensions of psychological endurance and competitive behavior, as well as to partition the coefficients of correlation of psychological endurance dimensions with competitive behavior into direct and indirect effects of female players of the premium class volleyball clubs.

The research sample consisted of clubs (Qaraqosh, Akad, Aphrodate, Amanat Baghdad) that won the first four places (respectively) in the Iraq Clubs Championship for the excellent class whom their number is (38) players, and in order to verify the objectives of the research, the researchers used two scales (endurance psychological strength and competitive behavior), and the data were processed using statistical instruments (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test for one sample, simple correlation coefficient, Spearman-Brown test and path coefficient analysis).

It was processed bu using the two statistical programs (SPSS) and (SAS).

The researchers concluded the following: - The female players of the excellent volleyball clubs possess the strength of psychological endurance and its dimensions (commitment, control, challenge, resilience, achievement and patience) and competitive behavior with good grades through comparing the values of the arithmetic means with the hypothetical mean of each variable.

- There is a direct significant relationship between psychological endurance and its dimensions with the competitive behavior of female players of the excellent volleyball clubs.

- The direct effect of the two dimensions, control and resilience in competitive behavior was positive and highly significant as compared to the levels of the path coefficient.
