Abstract EN

In this research we dealt with the explanation of the poetry of Antarah bin Shaddad of the al-Khatib al-Tabrizi that was mistakenly and without any evidence attributed to him by the investigator.

So by probing into the explanation, and both al-Tabrizi's life and his own writings, we were able to prove that al-Tabrizi does not have any explanation related to this title, not because of his inability to explain the poetical works Antara, but because none of the ancient and modernists scholars referred to any explanation of Antara's poetical works.

Besides, al-Tabrizi is an important commentator of Arab literature and his position is great among scholars, as he is one of the pillars of language and literature and has many linguistic and literary works explanations.

The nature of the research required that it be divided into three sections.

The first one dealt with the poet commentator with some definition and the most important editions of the poetical works, and then moved to al-Tabrizi: his literature and literary and linguistic explanations.

In the second section, we dealt with the errors related to the completion of the investigation that led the investigator to fall into the pitfalls of the investigation and his inability to attribute the explanation to its owner, while in the third section we dealt with documenting the affinity of the explanation and we have proven by evidence the inaccuracy of attributing this explanation to al-Tabrizi, and we also proved that al-Tabrizi does not have any explanation of Antarah's poetical works, with our prior knowledge of the ability of al-Tabrizi to explain any poetical work or book.
