This is one of the important topics that raised a debate in the jurisprudence through searching the legal effect of the acquisition of Iraqi nationality As well as granting this naturalized or so-called "Citizen newcomer" all the rights which are granted to "the original patriot".

This show the importance of this study.

The problem of this paper consists in the lapses and shortcomings taken on the Iraqi project in the regulating texts for this subject and to find solutions to them.

This subject has been studied in the form of two requirements: First, the individual legal effects of the acquisition of Iraqi nationality.

Second, the collective legal effects of the acquisition of Iraqi nationality for the wife, young children or adults.

Some solutions have been found to those problems and the appropriate texts have been developed to achieve the best text that addresses the situation.
