The sense of Time in T. S. Eliot's the family reunion

The importance of time held a huge amount of writers in the modern world as it occupies a large room in English literature.

Eliot was among those writers who had been occupied by the concept of time and reflected it in his writings.

This paper aims at showing the impact of time on the characters in Eliot's play, The Family Reunion (1939).

It tries to make the reader realize the scope of the effect of seasons, history, memory, and time's main factors (past, present, future) on the author's thoughts.

The paper, too, proves that Eliot's bitter experience is lucidly shown in his characters throughout a close reading of his biography.

Eventually, it finds out the state of human beings between the first and the second World Wars, the state of meaninglessness and rdity of the cyclical movement without any change of life in the course of events of the play.
