Popular costumes are a source of inspiration, innovation, expressive features, and richness in the meanings, symbols, and styles that Iraqi people have used in their traditional attire.

This study is concerned with the possibility of creating contemporary artworks by harnessing the decorations to make artistic works by using the structural and aesthetic characteristics in those costumes and using them to give expressive, composition and color connotations in contemporary artifacts.
