Abstract EN

Abū Muslim al-Iṣfahānī and his authentic view on abrogation (A comparative deductive analytical study) The main problem of this research consists in the contradiction of dicta led back to Abū Muslim al-Iṣfahānī with regard to the negation of abrogation.

The research aims to introduce Abū Muslim al-Iṣfahānī and highlight his scholarly biography.

It explains the views of scholars regarding his idea on negating abrogation and Abū Muslim’s actual view on the topic, under clarification of the most sensible idea.

The importance of the study lies in its scholarly contribution of identifying our noble scholars’ views, as well as in highlighting independent studies on the topic of abrogation itself, particularly among those who denied the concept.

The research follows a deductive analytical as well as a comparative methodology.

Among the most important results the researcher arrives at is that Abū Muslim al-Iṣfahānī has produced many writings, which indicates his scholarly importance, and that the ambiguity in some of the scholars’ understandings of his dicta can be referred back to neglectfulness in transmitting these views.

The researcher concludes that the actual view of Abū Muslim al-Iṣfahānī is that he negates abrogation in the Holy Qur’an only.
