Abstract EN

The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on behavioral theory in developing expressive language skills for students with autism spectrum disorder, and the sample of the study consisted of (9) students enrolled at the al-Walaa center for autism in Mafraq governorate, whose ages ranged between (5) -8) years, they were chosen in the intentional method available, distributed as follows (4 males, 5 females), for the summer semester of the year (2020), and to achieve the objectives of the study, a measure of expressive language skills was developed and a training program was built, and the psychometric characteristics were verified the occasion, where the scale consists of (32) items divided into two areas: the field of interaction, social communication, imitation and simulation, and the field of naming.

the results showed statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) in expressive language skills for students with autism spectrum disorder after implementing the program, and the results also showed statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) on the total score for all fields and in favor of measurement traceral.

the researchers recommended conducting a study on the effectiveness of a training program based on the cognitive behavioral theory in developing expressive language skills for different ages of students with autism spectrum disorder.
