Abstract EN

Crime is a social problem that has faced human society since ancient times, through the stages of history, so that its seriousness stems from its opposition to human feelings and its harm to the public and private interests of individuals, and from the sense of the importance and gravity of this problem, which scholars and thinkers in the social sciences have put into focus and study an important awareness of the moral and scientific responsibility entrusted to them in Diagnose the causes of the criminal act and the reasons for returning to it.

- The current research aims to answer several questions, including: Do social factors have reasons for returning to criminal behavior? .

And do factors (psychological, economic and family) have a role in returning to criminal behavior, and to achieve these questions, the researcher built a questionnaire consisting of four axes (social Economic - psychological - family) to a sample of judges in Diyala governorate, who numbered (120) judges and judges, after being presented to a group of experts and arbitrators, as shown in Appendix No (4).

The researcher has reached the following results: -First: - The social factors causing a return to criminal behavior: - Social factors confirmed their role in returning to the criminal act through the paragraphs that received a high discriminatory value, including (the feeling of social stigma, which received its calculated K values (6.71), while the paragraph (not benefiting from moral programs in institutions) received a calculated value (4.70) The eighth paragraph, which states (the society's non-acceptance of the ruled), included a calculated value (8.69).

Second: -The psychological factors causing a return to criminal behavior: - Psychological factors have a great role in returning to criminal behavior through the paragraphs that state (psychological trauma and post-trauma) that received a calculated value (4.73) and not giving the convicted an opportunity to express his freedom and which got the calculated value of ka (1.62) as well (defect And mental disorders in the personality components) which received the calculated ka value (3.53).

Third: - The economic factors causing a return to criminal behavior.

: - Economic factors have a role in returning to criminal behavior through the paragraphs that received the highest calculated value of ka, which is (the presence of unemployment in the community and the lack of job opportunities) whose calculated value was (3.76) and (poverty and material need) whose calculated value was (8.63) and ( Loss of the job to the governed) which received a computed value (9.60).

Fourth: - Family factors causing a return to criminal behavior: - Family factors confirmed their role in the return of convicts to the criminal act through the paragraphs that received the highest calculated value of ka, which is (children of the convicted from studying), which received a value of (1.77) and (family disintegration of the family of the convict), which was (3.64) and ( The length of the sentence leads to a weakening of the sense of family belonging), which received a calculated value (3.64).
