Abstract EN

This topic deals with the study of markets in the Saffari era in a critical historical period of the history of the Abbasid Caliphate, where signs of weakness began to appear with the beginning of the second Abbasid era (232 AH-334 AH/846-936AD).

The princes of the East and those who aspire to carve out parts of the countries of the eastern Abbasid Caliphate; To achieve their obedience without the desire of the Abbasid Caliphate.

And the matter came to circumventing the Abbasid Caliphate by approaching it in return for the controversial decree to recognize them, and the legitimacy of their rule over the countries they controlled and to send gifts and people seeking sympathy and sympathy for the Caliphate on the one hand.

Or resorting to coercive force and imposing a fait accompli on the Caliphate taking advantage of the period of weakness it is going through The Caliphate and its war with the owner of the Zanj Revolution, which cost the Abbasid Caliphate a lot of soldiers and equipment, and this is what Yaqoub bin Al-Layth Al-Saffar, founder of the Saffarid state, did in We will highlight in this study an important problem that lies in the presentation of several very important questions about the situation of the markets and the impact of the commercial movement in Sijistan and its cities in light of the conflict waged by the Saffarid state with the Kharijites in Sijistan, and with the Samanid state in countries beyond The river, and with the movements hostile to the Saffarids, such as the movement of Ahmad bin Abdullah al-Khajstani, who minted money in Herat and Nishapur, and the movement of Rafi' ibn Harthama, who walked on the path of al-Khajstani in Rafe' of the banner of opposition to the Saffarids.

There is no doubt that these movements broke up the Saffari economy and affected the commercial movement and the transport of commercial goods between the various cities of Sijistan, despite the silence of the historical sources and the books of Arab travelers and geographers about mentioning this effect.
