Abstract EN

This research aims at knowing how to build a proposed pedagogical curriculum for English teachers in colleges of education / Iraqi universities from the teachers' points of view.

To answer the main question of this study, the researcher made two questions: First, what are the required standards for building teaching curriculum within the fields of objectives, content, methods, tools and evaluation in English departments of the colleges of education.

Second, what are the components of the academic curriculum for the four classes of English departments in colleges of education in the light of the teachers' proposed standards? The researcher used the descriptive analysis in this study and cocncluded (8) Iraqi formal universities and (173) teachers in English deptarments in colleges of education.

Teachers' views were taken into account through a questionnaire, the study tool, with its entire field.

The total of their clauses was (73) and the weighted arthimatic mean of these standards was extracted where the experts' opinions were significantly identical.

The researcher used these standards to build the proposed academic curriculum for preparing English teachers in formal colleges of education.
