The study aimed to identify intellectual capital as an entry point to achieve the competitive advantage of leaders in Egyptian universities, because the interest in intellectual capital does not lie in what the Egyptian universities possess of human minds only, which requires that there be efficient management represented by faculty members to serve as the key to success for the university And work on its survival within the framework of what universities are witnessing of global competition, and the study used the descriptive approach, and the study came in the following axes, the first axis, the conceptual framework of intellectual capital in universities, the second axis, the intellectual framework of competitive advantage, its concept and dimensions, the third axis, the role of university leaders in achieving Dimensions of competitive advantage, the fourth erasure, the role of intellectual capital in building the competitive advantage of university leaders, the fifth axis the proposed perception The study resulted in several results, including Weak organizational culture that supports intellectual capital at the university, to achieve a competitive advantage, and the weakness of university leaders’ interests (faculties deans / heads of departments) in the intellectual capital industry, its activation and preservation .
